The first couple of days with puppy have been fun. Because he is not yet ully integrated with the cats he always has to be with either me or Craig. We are not to th point where he can roam free, which means lot of babysitting for us. He has two modes: sweet sleeping angel, and Tasmanian devil.

Internet, meet Clyde, our new puppy! He and a lawnmower showed up yesterday with Craig’s parents, and neither left. He is adorable and sweet, loves to cuddle and play fetch. He is 75% Chihuahua and 25% Pomeranian and 100% cute.

He was born on Dec. 23rd and is not expected to grow much, which means we just adopted a peanut. He is doing fantastic with his potty training, and has only had 1 accident so far (sorry Leah!) and sleeps in a crate by our bed at night.

We are still working with the cats for a civil union, but it is becoming a little easier.

Only 300 days to go!

Today I focused on different ways to promote my etsy shop. I started out by creating a facebook fan page, and a twitter account. I then created a consistent look and feel for a newsletter.

After all of that, I created an ad that I want to start using to promote my etsy shop. I wanted something I could post online, as well as print and hand out. Here is what I came up with

I have been searching all around town and online for some spring and easter prints. I have seen a few, but most do not catch my eye, or are covered in glitter. I have found a few papers that I like though and have begun to create a spring and easter set for my etsy shop.

I have been wanting to add some spring or easter type prints to my etsy shop, but have been having trouble finding prints that I like. So, tonight I decided to print up a few of the photos that I have taken over the years and wax them and use those for the covers.

I have been fascinated by the ever changing weather the past few weeks. Just last night we had a huge thunder and lightning storm, and then today we have a mix of beautiful blue skies mixed with dark storm clouds.

All of the trees around town are beginning to bloom, and today when I went to my backyard I found a few of the trees in bloom. with one in the middle still completely bare. This picture illustrates this transition from winter to spring.

Today I continued on with the contact paper fun, and made little photo frames tonight. I was very inspired by this. I am still feeling a bit limited by only having the white to work with, unless I glue on another layer of paper, I think that it is fun. I see myself tweaking this soon as it is not what I have pictured in my head, but I am enjoying playing with the new medium.

This has been a very strange few weeks weather wise. It feels like spring is coming, and the plants and flowers are agreeing. Here is a new flower that has popped up in our yard this week.
