I recently picked up some paper that is all 70% recyclable and has a great woodsy / nature theme to it. One of the sheets included this adorable beaver. I wanted to incorporate this into a coptic stitch book, and decided on the orange paper for the interior.
I have been playing around with some satin embroidery thread as well, which works great in the 3 hole stab bindings, but literally falls apart when used for these coptic stitch books. On top of that I did a 7 hole bind, which asked a little too much out of this thread…oh and the construction paper is much thicker and I am using more sheets than my typical bind as well…
So, this thing fought me the entire time, but I did come out with a book.
