Today has been another freezing cold day, and I thought I would revisit the ice effect I did on day 20 since I was not very pleased with my outcome. I found a new tutorial here thinking I would have better results. I love the effect from the tutorial, but it does not come without a ton of extra time and effort. I thought this one was a bit over complicated with too many steps (47 in all). I spent about 3 hours on this thing and still see quite a bit I dislike about it (my version, not the tutorials). Overall it was pretty fun, and I think the author used some really unique techniques to accomplish this such as a dead tree brush pack to create the cracks in the ice.
