We drove, and drove, and drove and drove some more in one of the worst drives ever. It started by leaving 30 minutes, followed by getting about 30 minutes into the trip to find that I had left my tennis shoes at home. Then we get about an hour out (once returning home to get the shoes) we get pulled over. Turns out one of our headlights were out. When we got pulled over we also found out Craig’s license was expired…and I had not switched over my registration to CA. So, we got out of there with three “fix-it” tickets. We then tried to go to walmart to get a new bulb so we could keep going, and spent 45 mintues in the parking lot playing keep cockroaches away from Craig while he tried to figure out how to get the bulb out. Turns out after all that, walmart was closed.
We decided to continue on, but it was quite a slow pace, and by the time we got to Marin it was 5 in the morning…after 8 hours of driving! Clyde was a trooper the entire trip, but when we got to the house he was wide awake.
The room we stayed in had mirrors lining the wall, and Clyde kept popping out of the covers and barking at his reflection
